I. Introduction - Helpful Notes
--------------------
This game is currently 800 MS points on the Xbox live marketplace.
It is not an easy game by far but can made easy if you do the story
mode in co op. To unlock co op you must find the shadow. It is
in the “St. Crux Cemetery” level, it’s in an alcove right next to
the guitar. If you don't want to do the Samurai difficulty with in
co op you can beat the game on Easy and Normal to work your character
up.
II. The Achievements
-------------------
The Dishwasher Dead Samurai currently has 12 achievements worth a total
of 200 gamerscore. They have weird amounts of gamerscore for each
achievement as well. They don't go by 5's or 10's. Once you unlock the
full 200 in the game, your score will be back on track with a 5 or 0
ending number.
A. The First Encounter
- Secret 10G
- Defeat the dude on the horse. (What is says after it unlocks.)
- You will get this upon beating the Horse Rider boss in the first level
of the game. Foghorn Cafe
B. The Black Book Achievement
- Earn 100 million points in an Arcade level. 11G
- This achievement can be done in solo or co op Arcade mode. If it is
in co op, you must alone score over 100 Million points. Easiest level
to do this on is the Killing Yard. Take out all the enemies except one
Jet pack guy. Make sure you stun him down where he is waiting for the
Messy kill and he must be on one of the sides of the screen. Won't work
if he is in the middle bottom because then he will be in the way. Now
pull out a weapon of choice and run back and forth killing the skeletons
that infinitely respawn. Keep a good combo going and you will get this
achievement really quick. You can also get this achievement in the
Dish Challenge mode.
C. Smash Your TV
- Secret. 13G
- Defeat the Sinthesis A.I. (What is says after it unlocks.)
- This achievement cannot be missed. It is story related.
- Spoiler alert - Alright, you will face this boss in the last level
of the game Cam Core. This can be done on any difficulty.
Best time to attack is when the boss is about to attack by charging
up its electric attack. When it is doing this get behind it and start
attacking. Personally I use a chainsaw but the Samurai sword works
really well also.
D. Cemetery Man
- Complete St. Crux Cemetery using only the Chainsaw. 20G
- In order to be able to complete this level with just the chainsaw, you
must first unlock the Chainsaw. You won't be able to do this until
level L'Opera Dramatique. You will get it halfway through. You will
face the Pumpkinhead boss. Upon beating him, you will unlock the
chainsaw for your own use. You must finish the level so you keep the
chainsaw. Now go back to the Cemetery level and pull out the chainsaw
at the start. Now play through the level using nothing but the chainsaw
E. The Brutal Achievement
- Do 10 wall slams in one combo. 10G
- Most people get this completely by accident while tearing up a bunch of
enemies in arcade mode. If you haven't gotten it yet, the best way to
is to use the Meat Cleavers. Hit the enemy with X,Y and this kick the
enemy into the wall. Do this 10 times to the same enemy and the
achievement is yours.
F. Kill You Seven Times
- Air juggle an enemy for 10 seconds. 14G
- Easy to do in the arcade level Night At The Opera. Reason is the enemies
are slower. It is a reduced speed level for enemies only. So it takes
longer for the enemies to hit the ground once airborn. YOu can do this
with the sword and press Down plus X to knock enemies airborn. You will
get it eventually this way or you can trap an enemy in the corner and keep
him airborn by hitting him constantly until he is stuck in the air. If
you are playing with a friend in co op arcade. This achievement will
unlock for both players.
G. Untouchable
- Get 21 kills without getting hit once. 21G
- Best gotten in the story mode on the level St. Crux Cemetary. Head right
to the second screen. Drop down and Zombies will start coming up out of
the ground. Kill 21 of them without getting hit and this will pop. If
you are playing arcade mode, this will probably pop up randomly if you are
really good with your dodges.
H. Master of Arcade Dishwashing
- Complete Arcade mode. 15G
- There are a total of 50 Arcade levels. You can do the first 49 in online
or local co op. Level 50 has to be done solo or in local co op for it to
unlock the achievement. No clue why. Best way to prepare is to learn your
combos and make good use of dodging. There are many easy levels and then
there are some really hard levels. Make sure you learn the airborn combos
because there are certain levels where the enemy can only be hurt if they
are airborn. Level 50 is like that. Since level 50 is the hardest and must
be done alone or locally, here are some tips. The enemies are invisible and
must be killed while airborn. Use your sword and use the combo hold down &
then press X,X,X, this will pop the invisible hook guys in the air and then
jump in the air and press X,X Forward Y. Do this a few times until you can
finish them off with B or X. After a few of these guys the Horse Rider will
attack. To first get him off his horse, you must jump at him while he
is charging and press B to do slight damage to the horse. After about 5 of
these, the horseman will jump off and start attacking. Remember he has to
be damaged in the air. You can take him on with your sword and time him
teleporting or you can wait for him to teleport and shoot him with your
guns while he is in the air. The guns way is weaker but a lot safer. After
you defeat him, give yourself a pat on the back. You have done it.
I. And You Will Know Us...
- Impale 13 freaks. 13G
- This achievement can only be obtained in story mode and not arcade or
The Dish Challenge. You will first fight the Freaks with hooks on the
level L'Opera Dramatique if playing on Normal. To impale a freak you
must first beat on them until they are near death and have a button
flashing over their head. To impale you must press B next to them. You
will know you have done it right because you will stick the hook through
their body and then put it in the ground.
J. The Peter Moore Achievement
- Pay homage to one of our generation's greatest rock performances ever. 8G
- Hit the Xbox Guide button while playing a killer solo.
- I will be the first to say this is the most interesting achievement
I have ever seen. You find your first guitar on the level
St. Crux Cemetary. You start playing it with B and you will have to
press the buttons at the bottom of the screen. Completing the guitar
shred will net you a guitar pick to upgrade a stat. For the achievement
while in the middle of the guitar shred, just hit your guide button
on the Xbox Controller. If you don't know what the guide button is, it
is the Xbox 360 X in the middle of your controller.
K. Smasher of Zombies
- Beat the game on normal or ninja difficulty. 25G
- I would not recommend playing this on Ninja difficulty for your first
playthrough. If you plan on getting the full 200 in this game, Samurai
difficulty will be hard enough. You shouldn't have too many problems for
the first few levels if playing on Normal. If you really want to make the
game easier, first play it on Easy and level up your stats and them
play on Normal. This isn't needed but can be really helpful. Once you
obtain the chainsaw, most bosses are a breeze because the chainsaw is just
a powerhouse on bigger enemies.
L. Got the Hat
- Beat the game on Samurai difficulty. 40G
- To unlock Samurai difficulty, you must first complete the whole game on
either normal or Ninja difficulty. Samurai difficulty is really hard if
you plan to tackle it by yourself. If you really want to get this easier.
Here is a cheap way of playing through the game on samurai to make it
way easier. First play through the game on normal and get to the level
St. Crux Cemetery. Find the box in the alcove next to the guitar and this
will unlock the Dishwasher's shadow. Now you can play the story mode with
a friend locaaly. This will make the game a breeze. Now all you need
to do is have two controllers and a friend playing with you. The shadow
will have infinite lives while first player can just keep warping in the
corner with the sword and right stick. Just have second player clean up
all the enemies and then advance. This way may take a lot longer than
doing it legit, but it is a lot easier than dying over and over. Samurai
difficulty is really hard.
III. Pick Locations
-------------------
I'm only putting the locations of these in here because it will make the
game a lot easier for you.
-Foghorn Cafe - After the first fight in the game, back track.
-Ivy Trail - Timed Enemy zone at beginning of level.
-Gray Fortress - Beat the Jetpack soldier enemies, then head right and
it will be in an alcove.
-St. Crux Cemetery - Warp to the top of the level with the Store Bot.
Play the guitar.
-Nord Trainyard - Timed Enemy Zone in the warehouse.
-Drome Rail - Timed Enemy Zone, can't be missed.
-Samurai Only - Guitar before boss room.
-L’Opera Dramatique - guitar on top of the opera house at beginning.
-Warp up above guitar for a secret room with a box.
-Samurai Only - Guitar In last room after defetaing enemies.
-Metatron District - After the Chef fight, Timed enemy zone in next room.
-Grace Chapel - Given to you after defeating all enemies at the Chapel door.
-Mono Catacombs - Given to you after defeating all enemies in a room.
-Cam Rooftops - Given to you after defeating all enemies in the 3rd room.
-Guitar in the last room before boss.
-Cam Lobby - Move to the left of the level when the level starts. You will
fine a box with a pick inside.
-In Processing - Timed Enemy zone after room with store bot.
-Samurai Only - Guitar before room with electrolites.
-Cam Core - Warp to the top of the beginning room.
IV. Other Unlockables

Meat Cleavers
- These are your starting weapon.
Shift Blade
- This is unlocked at the end of Foghorn Cafe, upon beating the Horse
Rider.
Kama
- Near the beginning of the St. Crux Cemetery level.
The Chainsaw
- Unlocked after beating the Chainsaw Pumpkinheads in the
L’Opera Dramatique level.
The Arsenal (Guns)
- At the end of The Grace Chapel Level.
Samurai Difficulty
- This is unlocked once you complete the entire story mode on at least
Normal or Ninja difficulty.
Tourny Difficulty
- This is unlocked once you complete the entire story mode on Samurai.
Samurai Hat
- This will be unlocked and worn by your character once you complete the
entire game on Samurai Difficulty.
Black Shirt
- This is unlocked once you complete the game once.
Dishwasher Holding Chainsaw Gamerpic
- This is unlocked once you complete the Cemetary Man achievement. You
change your gamerpic on your Xbox Dashboard under Edit Profile.
Samurai Dishwasher Gamerpic
- You unlock this pic once you complete the entire game on Samurai.
Dishwasher Shadow Co Op player
- This is found on the St. Crux Cemetery level. In an alcove right
of the guitar.
Shadow Rock Co Op Player
- This is found on the Ivy Trail level. Use the sword to teleport
straight up on the second screen.

A. First you must have Xbox live, doesn't matter if you have a gold
or silver account. Both can buy this game off the Xbox live marketplace
as long as you have the right Microsoft points.
