Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII PSP Q&A List

Q: 1.the answer for the first number is how many books in the east room to the left when you look in the key hole is(that doesnt count the ones that are open on the shelf but it counts the ones on top
2.the number of funny faces (ghosts) in the keyhole at the east bottom floor(they may disappear)
3.in the west room look in the key hole and count the # of banora apples(purple things) and cans
4.count the chairs on the first floor west side

all this includes things at the edge of your sight
and your welcome ion here!?
A1:Well, I did that, but I'm not sure how to explain it, so I'll use wikipedia's way: The "laughing safe" the boy refers to is in the Shinra Manor, and it needs a code to open. Head to the Shinra Manor and go the northwest room on the second floor to find the safe. There is a piece of paper on the floor here that gives you clues to the four numbers in the combination. The number is random every time, but here are the clues to figuring out the individual digits:

First Digit: Go to the room on the east side of the second floor and look through the keyhole. The first digit is the number of books that are not on any shelves in the bookcase. Don't forget to count the ones on top of the bookcase!

Second Digit: Go to the room on the east side of the first floor, look through the keyhole, and count the number of Dorky Faces inside. They will sometimes disappear, but will always remain in the same place.

Third Digit: Go to the room on the west side of the second floor, look through the keyhole, and count the number of Banora apples and/or cans in the room. Be sure to check under the furniture or on the floor.

Fourth Digit: Go to the room on the west side of the first floor, look through the keyhole, and count the number of chairs in the room.

Use the four digits to open the safe and receive the Vital Slash materia, then go tell the boy in Nibelheim about the safe.

Q: How can I kill genesis in mako excavation facility?
A1:
5-0
All you have to do is slash at him two or three times then you block. DO NOT get greedy with hits or he will kill you. And watch out for his one moves with three orbs and just dodge the whole time. Also if the attacks do hit you run to the edge of the battlefield and heal. And amke sure you block. Other than he should be EASY he is only level.19. GOOD LUCK and I hoped this helped!
A2:
0-0
You dodge the attacks that he does to you and get him when you have the chance. P.S when he hits you try to use cure
A3:
0-0
Well, do you have Power attack? Well, hit him once with this and then use Vital Attack if you have it, if you don't, well, here's what wikipedia said: Genesis starts this battle off by casting Black Flurry, which drains some of your MP away and inflicts you with the Curse status. If you've got the Curse Ring equipped you're already cursed, so that's nothing to worry about, and you're reaping the benefits of wearing the ring. But chances are, you won't even need the Curse Ring. To get things rolling, cast Barrier on yourself, hit Genesis with Graviga if you have it, then start attacking him, preferably from behind. It will be difficult to dodge his physical attacks, but Genesis's balls of fire should be easy enough to block. If you've got the Steal materia equipped you can swipe some Elixirs from him if you see an opening. The fact of the matter is, Genesis doesn't have all that much in the HP department, meaning that you can take him out pretty quickly.

Q: How do you beat the monster Angeal. He keeps using his unleashed wrath against me and kills me! Can you find a way to help me beat him or some advice? thanks.
A1:
0-0
Yes all you need is barrier and mbarrier which you get earlier in the game keep using them and you will also need vital attack or blizzaga blade or NYTHNG LIKE THAT and dark fira which is fira fused with poison
A2:
3-5
Get to a level at least 27 and have blizzara and cure at lv. master and if angel uses unleashed wrath as soon as he hurts you use cure intil your health is full and then keep useing blazzara
A3:
0-0
All I did was repeatedly heal myself almost non stop and stay behind him attacking when Angeal wasn't. I guess your level matters a bit there, since I train a lot and I am probably higher than what you are supposed to be there. Most of the game is pretty easy with training.

By the way, the best training spot for most of the game is the very first mission. Since the infantrymen hit very little, even when you first start the game, you can just have a good amount of HP and start the miussion, then just let it go. This will make it so the only time you kill something is when you have a limit break. This would last about a half hour on average after a while, but much later in the game, another good training site is the fifth vacation mission at Costa del Sol (with lots of worms) This can sometimes last two hours. And a bit after that, when you unlock the rest of the Shinra training missions, if you can halndle them, there are 50, 100, 200, and 1000 enemy missions that are the best by far. I havn't been able to beat the 1000 one yet myself, but the 100 is great for training, and the 200 great for replendishing SP if I need it, but I can't let it play on its own yet though or I die. Right now I'm at lv55 but I havn't done much in the way of stat increasing materia yet.

Okay, I hope theis helps=) Well I was level 25 and he was fairly easy for me! believe it or not..i had with me barrier lvl 1 thundara and blizzara lvl 1, I also had cura mastered asusalt blade and blizzard blade both mastered. Now first off cast barrier. Then always try to get behind him and strick with regular attack! these hits are always crits=p make sure to block and dodge his attacks when possible!(which you should always be able to do=)) anyways...i had gotten octoslash lvl 5..then attacked him from behind..then rush assult lvl 2 then attacked him from behind..then rush assult lvl1 or 4 I believe..then I attacked him from behind once more and he was dead! oh yeah..i hade like 4000 sumthing hp, and my ap and mp were full..i got the hp form my breaks and stuff..it took me like 1 or 2 minutes to beat=p good luck!

Wheels - LOVELESS avenue. Sector 8

Manual - As tools says. Outside church
A3:
0-0
Wiki says:

You're back in Aerith's church. Save your game, play the newly-unlocked Mission 3-2-2 if you feel like it, then head outside. Fight the three Gun Bull Heads there, then check the glowing red objects on the ground for the Used Tools. Go to the Slum market now and look at the pile of wood next to the Accessory Shop try to take some and you'll be accosted by a man who asks you to name his bar. Tell him "Seventh Heaven" to receive the Old Lumber. Now go south of the market and through the Platform to Sector 8. Head to Loveless Street and speak to the man by the car to receive the Worn Tires. Return to the area before the church and examine the only glowing object on the ground for the How to Build a Wagon instructions. Now go speak to Aerith to make the rather shoddy flower wagon.

-Building a better flower wagon-
Craftsman Monthly: Receive after speaking to the Shinra Captain in Loveless Street after you complete Mission 1-2-6
Walnut Wood: Catch the six Wutai spies in Chapter 6
Premium Tire: Speak to the SOLDIER 3rd Class in the briefing room after you complete Mission 7-1-6
Mythril Tool: Speak to the researcher in the vehicle room after you complete Mission 2-1-6
Possessing all these things will allow you to create the Cute Wagon. If you beat everyone in the training room's squatting game and obtained those items as well, you can make the Shinra Lunch Cart.

Q: How do you beat Genises when he has the "Gift of the Goddess?"
A1:Attack the sword when he calls out the monsters and dodge the attacks of the monsters until he brings up the sword and kill them too
A2:Well, I was level 32-34 (I don't remember). As you should know, Genesis has three different clone spawns: Scythes, Swords, and magic that he summons after slamming his blade into the ground. Just focus everything on them first, attack the sword only AFTER they are out of your way. Pack plenty of elixirs (Genesis can instantly empty your MP and AP) and ethers ( Curaga). Phoenix downs are VERY useful, even if, in all my awesomeness, I killed him on my second try without dying. Plain and simple, attack the sword when the clones are out of the way, and let your limit breaks get you out of all the sticky situations.

Q: How do I get dark and hell thundaga?
A1:
0-0
For dark thundaga all you need to do is fuse a thundaga and a esuna materia, and for hell thundaga you need to unlock wutai's secret shop and buy it.
A2:
0-0
If you have a mastered Thundaga, (or Firaga or Blizzaga) then you can upgrade them to their Dark or Hell versions easily by just fusing it with one out of the following, also mastered. I am listing all the ones I have found that would bring that result in one of the three elemental materia, as well as some I think might work, though some of these combinations might skip the Dark phase and go right to the Hell phase.

Have seen work, though which for which elemental I forgot:
Poison
Silence
Esuna

May work, expiriment:
Death
Stop
Slow
Other Status materia
Other materia

The best thing you can do when it comes to making new materia, is try them all out, but make sure you save it before you begin fusing, just in case you don't like the result. Even on walkthroughs all over the web, I have yet to find a complete list of all the possibilities, though I have found formulas and such that explain the system, and allow for you to have an idea on what to expect.

Items may affect the end result as well, and sometimes they won't. And not just the catalyst items either, try accessories you don't use much, or have extras of. Any item that prevents a status effect is good early, it will upgrade most fusions one grade higher than normal (ie. 2 mastered Fires fused will get you Lv1 Fira, but throw in one of the items and it could be Lv1 Firaga)
A3:
0-0
Buy it from your shops some time in the game you earn it
A4:
0-0
Through materia fusion:
to get dark thundaga:Thundaga+Esuna
to get hell thundaga: Thundaga(master)+Dispel(master)
or dark thunder+any DMW

Q: I'm a little stuck looking for the last piece of goddess matera. It's in an area where you need seven of them to open a big door underground.?
A1:
0-0
Wiki says:

Banora Ruins
Watch the cut scene that starts this chapter, then go north to the next screen, then east. Climb down into the large crater to watch another scene. After that, proceed east to the next area, the Depth of Judgment, which has a Save Point. Use it. You've also unlocked some new missions: 2-2-4, 2-2-5, 3-2-6, and 5-2-3.

You now have to open four chests containing the first four of the seven Goddess Materia you need to continue with the game, so open the first chest (the Light Materia) near where you entered the area, then head to the end of the northern cliff to find the second (Heaven Materia). The third (Ground Materia) can be found in a cave that runs beneath that cliff, and the fourth (Star Materia) is in the southwest corner of the area. Now read the Loveless prologue written on the plaque in the center of the area by the save point, if you haven't already.

Next, head west to the area known as the Portal of Severance. Read the third Loveless chapter on the stone on the left, right where you come in, then return to the Depth of Judgment and go east to the Howling Fang. Turn the valves here to open all the adjacent cells and claim the X-Potion and Mug materia. Read the second Loveless chapter on the wall next to the save point in one of the cells, then head back to the Depth of Judgment.

Now take the southern exit. Read the plaque there, then enter the cave to reach the Lake of Oblivion. Read the first chapter on the stone, then open the other three chests here to find the last three materia that allow you to proceed to the end of the game. The Life Materia is just north of where you come in, the Being Materia is on the western path just left of the center path, about halfway across the room, and the Sabbath Materia is in the northeast corner.

Before proceeding to the game's finale, you may want to tackle the Goddess Keys sidequest in the Lake of Oblivion. If not, save your game and place the seven materia in the altar in the Portal of Severance to open the gate, triggering a boss fight.

Hope that helps.
A2:
0-0
The last on I found was in the main palce were all the tunnles are and theres a chest which you can reach by going around were it is and you will see a under pass go though it and you will find it
A3:
0-0
You need to look everywhere for chests. Walk along the walls and search for a hole that leads to a chest, a ramp with a chest at the edge, a long tunnel with a chest, and the lake of oblivion that contains the majority of the other materia. When in doubt, LOOK AGAIN!

Q: Where do I find new clothes for Cloud in the Shinra Manor?
A1:You will get a key from the scientist you knocked out when you first woke up. Just talk to his body. If you didn't get it and you are already at the manor, I think you may be able to go back, though I'm not sure. You might not even need the key, it might be for the other door. Anyway, in one of the rooms in the manor there are two wardrobe/closets, one of them has a SOLDIER uniform that you can use for Cloud, and in the other one is a large amount of gil. The key might be for both, it might just be for the gil one, I'm not sure, I haven't tried going without the key.
A2:You need the key
