A1: Yes you go to eqment then click on the wepn you want this works beast when in battle

A2: You have to wait till a certain time in the game when you are in the arena qualifings and you go to the quest shop and there will be a quest there for an job extension for the broadsword complete it and you will now be able to weild a broadsword there slow but extremely powerful
