I have heard that the 2-d black box is a box that is not visible in the game, when you select a file, look to the far right, you will see a box.

It is invisible in the game and if you break it a vortex will appear in the painting of peach out there, and you can get sent to a world to unlock Waluigi.

Many Romurs say if you break it Waluigi is in there. Well it helps you get him. If you broke the 2-d box it makes a strange vortex in the Peach painting. When you go in there there will be a miror room, (much like on the 2nd floor) but there will be some different paintings. Among in the secret miror room, there will be a waluigi painting. (just like Wario) but defeat the goomba and grab the Luigi cap, grab the power flower, and go inside the miror and jump into the Waluigi painting. Now there are 2 rooms. 1 that leads to the key. And Waluigi's room. I found this on a cheatcode thing, but I read it, and I think Waluigi IS real in SM64DS.

Hell for the 2-d black box. THIS way is the real way. You know the courtyard with all the boos in it? Well, if you manage to reach the roof of it( which is incredibly hard without action replay) there will be a door. Enter the door, and you will be on a spiralling staircase. Oh, did I forget to mention the stairs are ENDLESS? It will say ''to solve the mystery of the endless stairs you need 151Power stars.''. Now , go to the castle grounds, and there will be a power star at the exact top of the middle tower. Aim, but this time you are shot directly at the star. Now you have 151 stars. Go up those endless stairs and you will find a Waluigi painting. jump in, and you will find a GIANT yoshi (King yoshi). Defeat him by ground-pounding is tail 5 times. (Or, if you are yoshi, he will see you as a friend and gladly give you the key, free of charge. Now you can play as Waluigi. BUT, if you fly ino the 2-d box, (which is now visible, you will now be in a world with 90 power stars. P.S ONCE YOU HAVE 241 STARS YOU WILL END UP WITH EVERY CHARACTER AVALIABLE IN MARIO SERIES.

You mean ? switch level? Well, OK then! In the castle lobby,there`s A sun pattern on the floor. When you collect 14 power stars, you will see a beam of light. As Mario, stand on the sun pattern and press X. Look up at the light source & you will be transported to the rainbow tower(? switch). In the middle of the rainbow ring, there is a tower. And the ? switch. Jump onto the ? switch and ....POOF! there you go.

I dont think so. U can only use Wario & Luigi on the 1st & 2nd Bowser.

Actually its possible to beat the game with any character with a simple portal to the heavens glitch. when you enter the room with tick tock clock go to the left and get on the second stair. then step on the only Black square that only the corner is showing on. turn towards the corner. Charge up your run (hold Y) and then start running towards the corner. now half way to the corner do a slide kick and you should go into the wall and if you did it correctly you'll find your self way above the endless stairs and falling (if not you will lose a life and appear outside the castle). NOWS YOUR CHANCE. while falling aim your fall so you land about a screen in front of the star door (on the touch screen) and are in front of it. now if you aim right you'll land in pitch black. you should be either on the top of the endless stairs or on the top. now find the hole in the dark (the entrance to the final bowser). if you think you can do this 2 times in a row then go down the endless stairs, open the door, and do the glitch again. But this time you can see the endless stairs making it easier to aim. ive beaten the game with every character (even yoshi) with this glitch. -Answer by:yoshi764

Allright, yoshi764, how can I aim when i`m at the top, but i`m still in slide-kick position, and the only way out is to press B, which makes me lose a life. WELL? ANSWER ME!

Well A3 the proble is. your not doing it right, there are three glitches doing that trick, 1) fly way above the level and us the TOUCH SCREEN to aim exactly 1 screen above the entrance to get in the hole, 2) exactly what you describe happens, you get stuck, and the only way out is too push A or B which kills you, and 3) you die and get transported in front of the castle. to make sure you only do the 1st one. make sure you get enough speed and time your slide kick right. and yes when you teleport up it'll keep you in slide kick postion for a second but then the character will go in falling position, make sure your timing it right.
