A1: You need to go through door VI in the clock room, get the key off the guard and go through the door he locked. then you will be in a room where you see the turks then sephiroth appears. After a long conversation, A boss (Red Dragon) will appear defeat it and investigate the small pyramid containing the black materia. go back to the locked door you couldnt go through. Demons Gate (a boss) will be there kill him and cait sith will be there as he said he would. He will solve the puzzle This is near the end of the quest and near the end if disc 2.

A1: You have to press the O button at the exact moment you land on the rock with the materia on it and before you begin the jump to the next rock. It has to be timed perfectly or you'll just jump passed it again. Luckily you can keep trying over and over until you get it. It took me almost a full minute to finally get it.
