A6: How often do you use cheating software? It isn't the safest idea for your game. Did you hack it? If you ever have, you'll know that it runs on a special battery. Just try CAREFULLY removing the battery, going to an electronic store or Target or something, buy another one, replace it! If that's not it, and you've never cheated... your game is too old and now sucks. Just get rid of it.

A2: Ignore A1. Go to Viridian City and then west. You should be able to pass through the Elite Four entrance and continue west. It will take you to Johto and Ash is in Mt. Silver.
