You should click the arrow at the bottom-left of the screen it will make time go by faster. Just keep building residential zones until another demand pops up. Also try to increase land values.

Restart ( you don't have to) to a new city, Go to the area that is basic (with 100,000 funds) and try to avoid what YOU think you were doing wrong. -Answer by:Tjxx8
A2:
This may raise pollution, but you need to build more power plants. They are being destroyed because they are generating too much electricity for them to handle. -Answer by:mediumaster
A3:
I read it in the instruction booklet that if you press the question mark in the bottom right corner and then press the power plant and wait for a bit, it says how long the power plant will run until it explodes. Demolish the old power plant and put in a new one.
A4:

I think second 1 is right, my water things wouldnt stop blowing up so I put heaps in, hasnt happened since, same with power plants

A4:
The rci demand bar usually has alot of residential demand, take advantage of this and put in as much as you can, start with everything like hospital, fire police etc, this worked for me and when you make more profit put the taxes down by 1%, this helps the city to continue growing
