Hey don't know if anyone still reads this but I just got the game and had a question.

I created a team and then created a player and put him on the free agent list. I then started a dynasty and signed the created player. However, when I play a game in the dynasty the player shows on my depth chart but is not in the game. The backup just automatically takes his position. What did I do wrong?
