A2: Im afraid I havent found a "Walkthrough" on this, I recommend you find a complete game walthrough some day, and it should tell you where everything is step by step.

Q: How do I defeat the first big daddy on the hard setting?

A1: You don't need to, a thuggish splicer doe's that for you. However you can defeat a big daddy with just the shotgun and normal ammo.

A2: If you dont want to die, try coming back later, when you have Electric Gel (Chemical Thrower), or a Grenade Launcher. When you do get the Grenade Launcher put a couple of Proximitry Mines on a Red Fuel Barrel, (Near the Big Daddy) And then throw it at him, using telekenisis (Dont bump it around too much) , this deals ALOT of damage and dosen't take much effort to Zap/Shoot him afterwards.
