Q: Can you avoid a blue flying first place bomb?

A1: Yes, you can avoid he blue shell. You need to time it right. When the blue shell is over head it will motion up and then drop down and explode on you. When it motions up, use a mushroom to speed away from being blasted. Good luck getting a mushroom while in 1st place though but I have done it on a few occasions :-)

A2: Play the time trials, its under single player. Ghosts are a character or persons driving time. It's sorta of like driving against a replay.
