Keep playing, you will get an option of making him her boyfriend. From there, you get to propose engagement and then get married.

You can propose to him. Just keep your moods up and you will see an option to propose when you click on him. You will see "move in" under propose first then eventually it will turn into "engagement" and then "marriage".

Your sim will have to ask the male sim to move in so you can control him. From there it will take alot of romance.

You have to keep your moods up and do things with him and eventually it appears

Just do lots and lots of romance untill boyfriend comes up then engage and then marriage its much harder than sims 2 but sims 3 is still better :)

You have to get them to interact romantically until it says extremely irresistible. Make sure you dont use the same actions over and over again they may get bored. Then you can propose GO STEADY. Then you should be able to get one of them to PROPOSE MARRIAGE to get them engaged. Then they will be able to have a private wedding or wedding party. If you choose to have a private wedding have one sim click on the other and unter romantic you can choose PRIVATE WEDDING. For a wedding party use your home phone or cell phone and click have party or have party on lot. (You can have your wedding on a community lot if you choose) Change the type of party to a wedding, change the attire to formal (if you choose), pick the time you want to have it. Finally invite all the guests.

Do this: Flirt, chat, flirt, chat, flirt. some other option beside flirt. untill you get propose going steady... eventualy if you keep doing this you will see propose marrage button. keep in mind only adults can get married.

You have to keep making them flirt and the if your on ther guy click on the girl and click purpose

All the previous info is good.... but if you want to move things faster have your active sim have the trait "hopeless romantic".... romantic relationships build alot faster plus getting into a "steady" relationship to marriage will occur much sooner (the relationship bar does not have to be full, just as long as they have the "love interest")... if traits have already been chosen (and hopeless romantic is not one of them) use: testingcheatsenabled true in your cheats bar and shift click on your active sim, there you will have two options, one will be changing active traits and the other option will be triggering age transition... (obviously lol)

Are the objects that keep dissapearring items that go on the wall? If they are then it is because they only show up when the walls are up not down..If not im not sure

It might be because, you are trying to put an object on a spot that is already occupied, or the object simply won't go there

A3:

There's a cheat, fadeObjects [on or off]. It makes the objects fade, or disappear when the camera gets too close to them. Perhaps the cheat is enabled and your camera is too close when you buy objects.

A4:

Is the square under the object green or red? If it's red the object can't go where you are trying to place it. If the square is green and seems to have been successfully placed (other than the problem with invisibility) try going to live mode after you place the object. I've had it happen a few times where the object would disappear when I placed it, but in live mode it showed up. Make sure you save right before trying this because if it doesn't't show up in live mode you might end up with a spot where you can't place anything.

A5:

If its a wall item then its bacause you got the wall option down. Put all walls up and then move the object to another wall (:

Could one of your sims be putting it in their personal inventory? One of my sims picked up a whole firepit (with like 6 chairs!) and kept it in his inventory for no obvious reason. He had the neatness trait, so maybe he thought it made the yard look cluttered.

So I had the same problem and tried the fadeObjects [off] cheat...and it didnt help. So just found out that if your tilt is more above the objects...like looking down at your house...then objects dont fade. The angles just takes a while to get used too

A1:

This was a problem for me at first too. But if you have a bike, just drag it into your backpack/inventory. You can do this with laptops, games, guitars...etc. :) hope this helps.

Click care then set it to your sim

Same thing happened to me, move your bike rack onto the pavement. if you dont have any then build some pavement that connects to the street.

When it asked you to set the owner , set it to the person the bike's for and then click it to ride it

Click on set owner and then choose whos bike you wnt it to be then that person who you chose can ride the bike

A6:

U just tell them to go someplace and they'll use the bike instead of walking or calling a cab.

Go in Buy Mode and select the bike. Make sure it isn't the children's version. I'm pretty sure the adult bike is the second choice in Buy Mode.

At first I had the same problem, but then I noticed that there were two bikes in ''Buy Mode''. The first bike can only be ridden by kids, but the second can be ridden by almost anyone.

Keep setting the owner sometimes the Sims choose to ride their bikes then I think you can make them ride it if it doesn't work it might be a glitch I have had many of problems like on my moms computer Sims 3 wouldn't work finally I got my own computer and it worked so I finally got to play Sims 3 any ways just sell the bikes or bike and let them ride in their cars or if they have the athletic trait they can jog place if you want them to get exercise

Ok Serious Simmer here....After I marry a sim from the neighborhood (im trying to marry into one of these rich houses) how do I move one of my members out to live in another house (mansion)? Can they only live with me? And can I really not play with the other family members anymore? Whats the point in telling me thererich if you don't become rich once married!

A1:

Click on the computer and click option move out you can choose to live in that household. If you want to get married to that Sim you have to keep the relationship up and eventually an option will appear to get married.

A2:

You could always move the sim out and pick on the mansion you want them to move into. If that doesn't work, have them get married, then move them out together. You can only play with one active household though.

A3:

If you go 2 the little "..." button at the bottom of the screen it should say "Edit Town" click on that and when you click on the sim you want your sim 2 get married 2 house and click on (i cant remember lol), just pick the one you think will work or you could make your sims rich by:
-pressing CTRL+SHIFT+C
-type (in the blue box at the top) motherlode(makes your sim have 50,000 simoleons)
-repeat step 2 untill you r happy with the amount of money
-(optional) still marry the other sim

A4:

I really don't understand the question but sometimes if you have to many people in a house it wont allow you to get married until some one moves out or someone dies and if you want to move in Sims 3 all you have to do is get on the computer or use a phone and choose move then you can choose the people you want to move in with you and you can either choose to move into an empty lot which then you can build your house or you can choose house and you can move into a house that is already built.

OK... what you have to do is go to the "..." in the lower left had corner.Then what you do is you go to "edit town".Once it expands into the full town click on your sims house then click merge with...Then chose the selected sims that you what to move into.And you don't even have to be married to then.Because you can separet them in the other options as well.

Erm... if you want to move out and you end up moving out do you get to keep all the money coz I done the cheat for money and I done it but wen I tryed before moving out a different way it out all my money bakk to 18,000

It os possible bit there not that rich and the houses aren't that nice, just use motherlode and you will have 50,000.

Just to add to 'A3's' answer, instead of typing in 'motherlode' the whole time, just type in the cheat bar 'familyfunds (family surname) (amount)' for example 'familyfunds Marson 100000' and then I will have $100000 in family funds! Its quicker and more effective!

A1:

Click on a telephone (or your cell phone in your personal inventory), selct "Call Sim," then click on "invite out" and invite them to go to a specific place. Or you can use "invite over" to have them come to your house. (You can try this with anyone, not just romantic interests, if you want to hang out with friends for example). You can't call people when they're at work though, and during unreasonable hours (like between midnight and 6 am well actually you can but they'll be pissed at you doing it and won't come over.)

A2:

The trick is that you need to watch what the other Sim is thinking of your Sim, up in the left-hand corner. You get many more options when the Sim you're after thinks your Sim is "irresistible" versus simply "okay" or even "flirty." It takes a LOT of flirting to manage it, and even then, I only managed it once my Sim's Charisma level allowed him to use Irresistible Greetings. That one works like a charm.

A3:

Go to your inventory and click on your mobile to "Call Sim" or you can use your house phone to do the exact same and ring up the desired Sim and invite them out to the desired place and your Sim will automatically get a taxi and be at the spot in time.
Or, if you're already with the desired Sim, hanging out around your house or at school or something then click on "Map View" where you can see all the places you can go on possible dates and stuff, click on the icon and then select "Visit so-and-so place with..." and it will always give you the option of the Sims in the surrounding area, but only if you know them. Click on the Sim you want to go with and you should be on that date in no time!

How do you move a sim into a new, bigger home?

A1:

Use any phone and select the option move. It will bring up a screen to allow you to choose to move to any other home or lot.

A2:

You can click on the Sims computer move and it will take you back to the map screen so you can choose which house you want to move in.

Remove them from your old home (when your on the edit town screen) then move them where you want them + the click on to the games you have + click the one you want

A4:

If you have a computer in your home, there is a "Move" option there, also you can go to your cell phone and click "Move"!

A5:

First you want to enter motherlode a few times so can get some money. Then go to edit town in the option menu.Then Click on your sims house and then choose "evict" then they will leave the house and you can put them in a bigger one.

Raise the money to do so, then click on a computer, cell phone, or newspaper,I think, and click move. It will tell you what to do from there.

A7:

You can go on your computer or on their phone and click the option "move"

A8:

Cheat, cheat, cheat! If your sim is in a rinky-dink home just cheat your way into a bigger one. Simultaneously enter "Shift" + "Control" + "C" and then enter "motherlode". This will give you 50,000 simoleons at a tme. If you want the big house on the hill you'll need over 300,000 for renovations and all. After this save the game, and "Evict" your sim from their household WITHOUT their current house. Then you can move your sim into their dream abode!

A9:

The best way to do it is to have alot of money first so that you can buy a really nice big house. The fastest way to get money is to do ctrl+alt +delete then type familyfunds [Familyname] #500000 and you will automatically get $500000. (you have to type the family name though eg. family funds Goth 500000 )etc. and the Goth family or your family will automatically get that amount of money instead of doing motherlode over and over again. :) ***Trini

A1:

If you have fruit in your invetory or collect seeds you can plant them and they will gain gardening skills.

A2:

You need to buy and read the first level of Gardening, so you can have seeds in your inventory, select one clicking on it and pick "plant". Then choose a place in your garden.

A3:

To gain the gardening skill read the book. If you just want to garden, you're going to have to buy seeds at the supermarket, and then you can plant them. After that you can water them, fertilize, tend & etc.

A4:

You need either a seed or the harvested fruit of whatever you would like to grow. When you click on them in your Sim's inventory, it should allow you the option of "Plant." If not, try having your Sim pick up a book on Gardening (you can get all three volumes at the bookstore) and gaining a skill point in Gardening.

A5:

Start out by reading Gardening books

A6:

The gardening skill can be reached by reading or taking the class at the Lab or the supermarket. Then buy seeds at the supermarket or around the parks and green areas throughout the town or you can just open the fridge and click on the fruit or veggie you would like to grow and select the plan option then select the area you want to grow them. After that you can water them, fertilize, tend & etc. FYI.. if you place a sprinkler in the middle of your plants you dont have to worry about the plants drying while you are away from your garden. Once you harvest you can go to your supermarket and sell them. Also keep in mind that depending there are limitations on the the fruits or veggies you can plant due to your skill. Good hobby for your Sims when they retiered and make simoleons.

When I try to put doors in the bedrooms & bathrooms on the second floor of my house, I keep getting the "Ceiling is too low" message, and the game will not let me put the doors in. How can I fix this?

Try taking off the roof, adding the doors and then putting the roof back on

Take your roof off until you get your second floor built then add it back once done.

In build mode go on to the ceiling of the picture of a house and click on remove roof and the roof will go.When your done doing up the house go back on to the picture of the roof and click on what roof you want

It does that sometimes when you build your own house, especially if your house is raised on a platform or if you extending your house from a bungalow, im not sure how to fix it though

You need to create another level as the one your working on is like an attic, The roof is slanted so create another level that will solve the problem

Remove your roofs from the build mode.
Then replace them when you are finished.

Check to make sure there is no roof. I discovered that as soon as I build 4 walls a roof automatically came on. I had to click on the roof tool and stop it from being automated. Then you should have no problem.

It sounds like the house may have originally been a one story house, meaning the roof of the house was set as the "second story". To change this go into "Build Mode", click the roofing tool, and delete the roof of the house. After you've put in the doors and whatnot then add the roof.

Change the type of roof you have

Go onto roof, lcick "autoroof off" then right click on all roofs.
